Take a look at Camp Quality's website and the most important
message you'll fmd is this: "We believe in bringing optimism aud
happiness to the lives of children and families affected by cancer
through fun therapy. We believe laughter is the best medicine." So
it was more than appropriate for the Canberra-based winery Shaw
Vineyards to produce a special range of wines called the Laughter
Series to help the organisation raise much-needed ftinds for its
ongoing work with young cancer sufferers.
The Laughter Series continues a 17-year association between Camp
Quality and the burgeoning winery which hopes to produce 10,000
cases and raise $500,000.
The new wines, crafted by Graeme Shaw and his team, comprise a
semillon sauvignon blanc, a semillon riesling, shiraz cabernet and
cabernet sauvignon all from the 2008 vintage. The wines retail for
$129 a case and $50 from each case will be donated to the Camp
Quality organisation in the buyer's city or town.
