Wescarpade kicks off with a concert in Donnybrook

2 January 2012

CAMP Quality's Act, Belong, Commit, WesCarpade Family Concert kicked off in Egan Park in Donnybrook at the weekend. There was plenty to do, with rock climbing, bouncy castle, face painting for the children and hours of live entertainment for the adults. Wescarpade entrants lined their cars up along the grounds, adding plenty of colour to the proceedings with themed cars ranging from the Simpsons to Batman to pirates.

Music and live entertainment ranged from country crooners to burlesque dancers to upcoming Bunbury bands. Dooper Dog and Giggles the Camp Quality puppet also turned up to delight the children. WesCarpade is an automotive event that will see participants spend 12 months raising funds for Camp Quality.

From August 4-11 this year, they will spend their days on a week-long motoring adventure from Bunbury to Esperance. Along the way they will visit towns and schools spreading the message of Camp Quality. Camp Quality is a children's family cancer charity that believes in building resilience in the lives of every child with cancer and their families in Australia. Camp Quality runs recreation, education, hospital and family assistance programs to help create fun and supportive communities to positively assist families on their cancer journey.
