We are the children’s family cancer charity that believes in bringing optimism and happiness to the lives of children and families affected by cancer through fun therapy. We believe laughter is the best medicine.

At CQ we are one big happy family. Our kids and their families, our staff and volunteers, and our partners, sponsors and donors are all part of the family. Together we help children and their families face the challenging days and celebrate good ones.

We believe in improving the quality of life through unrelenting optimism.

1. What drew you to CQ, and what do you love most about what you do?
Hoping I could make a difference to the lives of kids with cancer. I love the kids, families, volunteers and all my friends that work at CQ

2. What have you learnt most about yourself from your involvement?
That nothing is impossible and to never, never give up. Also I can have fun with fun-loving people.

3. What signature strengths do you bring to CQ?

  • Curiosity and interest in the world
  • Fairness, equity and justice

4. What's a CQ moment you treasure?
There are so many! But, my first meeting with and getting to know one of the campers called Jade D. She has inspired me to give 100%, be the most caring and understanding person I can be, never give up, have fun, love life and lots more. From my first meeting with Jade I got all this plus more, Jade is an inspiration to me and so many others. That's my most treasured CQ moment.

5. What do you love to laugh about?
Myself you need to be able to laugh at yourself. I love to make people happy.

6. What are you optimistic about?
That Camp Quality has the power to change people's lives for the better. That our wonderful staff and volunteers are some of the most caring, happy and positive people in the world today.

7. What would you say to someone considering joining the 'CQ family'?
Join! You will have the best time you could ever imagine. You will meet wonderful people and make lifelong friends. Most of all you will never be alone because you are a part of our Camp Quality family.
