Welcome to the Camp Quality Website!

We are the children’s family cancer charity that believes in bringing optimism and happiness to the lives of children and families affected by cancer through fun therapy. We believe laughter is the best medicine.

At CQ we are one big happy family. Our kids and their families, our staff and volunteers, and our partners, sponsors and donors are all part of the family. Together we help children and their families face the challenging days and celebrate good ones.

We believe in improving the quality of life through unrelenting optimism.

We'd love you to get involved, so check out join CQ, how you can help, or donate now!

Our volunteers

We are always looking for volunteers and there are plenty of ways you can help. You can become a companion who looks after the kids on camp, you can be a program or activity coordinator, you can fundraise for us or if talking is your strong point you can be a public speaker for us. Whatever your skills and interests, CQNT has a place for you.

Give us a ring (08) 8985 44 33 and we'll have a chat, or if you are close to Nightcliff Shops, drop in and have a coffee. We just love visitors!

1. How long have you been involved with Camp Quality?
This is my fourth year with Camp Quality.

2. What drew you to Camp Quality or what do you love about us?
Having fun and laughs. I have a cousin and close family friends who were all affected by cancer and saw that Camp Quality was wonderful for them so decided to get involved myself.

3. What has been your favourite moment with CQ?
Being a bit nervous on my very first camp with all the new names and faces and yet by the end of the first day being attacked and tackled to the ground by half a dozen of the smallest campers under instruction by some of the other companions and feeling very much part of the group.

4. Why do you think “laughter is the best medicine”?
Doesn’t cost anything but a small amount of your time to share laughs with the children and other companions however the benefits and respite for the children and their families is enormous.

5. What would you say to others considering getting involved with CQ?
You're wasting time reading this stuff about me, chop chop and sign up for the next training day.
