Welcome to the Camp Quality Website!

We are the children’s family cancer charity that believes in bringing optimism and happiness to the lives of children and families affected by cancer through fun therapy. We believe laughter is the best medicine.

At CQ we are one big happy family. Our kids and their families, our staff and volunteers, and our partners, sponsors and donors are all part of the family. Together we help children and their families face the challenging days and celebrate good ones.

We believe in improving the quality of life through unrelenting optimism.

We'd love you to get involved, so check out join CQ, how you can help, or donate now!

Our families

Our familes inspire us, their bravery and courage and their ability to share their experiences with others going through a similar journey is part of what makes Camp Quality unique.

The way that they treasure and appreciate every day is truly inspirational.

Creating a supportive and optimistic community that focuses on the positive things in life, like the sound of children laughing, is our gift to families who need us.

Children are at the centre of everything we do. What makes us unique is that we also focus on supporting the entire family.

We've created this section to feature some of these stories. If you would like to add your story we would love to publish it.

Keely's story

Hi my name is Sharon and my daughter Keely was diagnosed with Cancer in June 06. She underwent 6 months of chemotherapy and 5 weeks of radiation twice a day. She had a form of cancer known as Rhabdomyosarcoma, a muscle tumor behind her right eye. At the end of the treatment one of the first things we did as a family was to go to a Camp Quality Family Camp at Marcoola in February 07.

My daughter's eyes lit up when she arrived to find three other families and their children whom she had met, and sometimes shared a room on Banksia with, at the camp. She didn't feel so bad then about having no hair, or being thin and frail as the other kids were just the same. She laughed played and had so much fun! Something that had been a hard thing over the previous 6 months!

I would urge anyone involved on this life changing journey to try Camp Quality, it too is life changing. Thank you Camp Quality!!
