Mikayla was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour on June
8th 2004. Through the scans, surgery, chemo, radiation, she never
complained. She was so very, very brave, the doctors and nurses
that cared for her couldn't believe how strong she was through it
all.
Mikayla was so strong and brave with lots of courage, a great
sense of humour, very cheeky, funny, beautiful and loving. Such a
special little girl who loved camps, and all the fun times she
shared with Jacky and all the wonderful friends at Camp
Quality.
Mikayla loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved being
with her family and friends and had a real love of dolphins and
hand bags. She loved having her beautiful, curly hair straightened,
which I did most days. I miss that. I miss everything, just
everything about you honey. Your kisses, cuddles, your smile, your
touch, what I'd give to have you back with me.
She loved Roxy clothes, Home & Away, McLeod's Daughters (she
wouldn't miss a show for anything), school and going camping at
Bruny Island with her favourite cousins and friends.
I remember the trips to Queensland to play with the dolphins.
You were always so crafty, loved scrap booking, and your favourite
colour pink had to be everywhere.
I watched helplessly as you deteriorated before my eyes, but now
there is no more pain or suffering. Everyone who knew you just
loved everything about you, you were so very special.
I've picked a star, I call it mine, I watch it sparkle and
shine. Every night you will always be remembered, loved and missed
every day, in my heart forever.
