CQ investment in hospitals
- The Children's Cancer Centre at
the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne
Camp Quality are the largest non-government
financial contributor to this world-class facility, working towards
greater survival rates, improved pain relief and treatment.
- The Children's Cancer & Haematology Day Unit, John
Hunter Hospital Newcastle
Camp Quality are the largest financial contributor to this new,
state-of-the-art facility that offers a safe, child friendly
environment and includes a clinic, treatment rooms and private
procedure rooms.
- Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane
As part of the Psychosocial Services in the oncology ward we fund
a new oncology social worker who provides a number of services. She
runs a pain management program using guided imagery techniques and
creative visualisation. Practicing meditation and imagery helps
children reduce their anxiety and makes them feel more
settled. The social worker also runs CQ parents and carer
support groups, and develops a monthly allied health newsletter for
the kids and their families in the hospital.
- Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick
Camp Quality have funded a refurbishment of the C2West
Oncology Ward playroom.
- Children's Hospital, Westmead
Children from the Children's Hospital at Westmead have their
Radiotherapy at the adult hospital and it can be very intimidating.
We have teamed with Premium Pacific Funding to build a playroom and
some kids are now having therapy without having to have a general
anaesthetic: they're playing instead!
