It's all about the snow!
If you want to try skiing and snowboarding, you can choose to go
to this camp instead of senior camp. You ski or snowboard all day,
every day.
Who can attend?
This differs by location. Contact your local CQ to find out more
These camps create great friendships and everyone has lots of fun
with plenty of time to party.
The camps are run by volunteer leaders with a ratio of three
campers to one adult companion, with a nurse attending as
well.
How long do they go for?
Usually one week each year, anywhere from Perisher Blue to Mt
Buller is a fair target.
What happens at Camp?
This camp is all about the snow! You ski or snowboard all day,
every day.
Everyone has to be prepared to ski or snowboard as that is what's
on each day. Some camps have lessons for half a day and free skiing
for the other half. If it rains there's shopping or the movies. At
night we might have a party or go rock climbing, but we are often
too tired. We ski or snowboard till the sun goes down!
What are the sleeping arrangements?
Lodge style accommodation, usually with one companion and three
campers per room.
How much does it cost?
This one is free too! That's right, there is no cost to
families. Thanks to our generous sponsors and loyal donors these
camps are fully funded by Camp Quality.
How do we sign up to attend?
You need to be registered as a Camp Quality family
to attend camp. If you are a family with
a child 18 years or under living with cancer then we
would love you to join.
