Jenny and her team have been assisting us with recruitment
and selection, development and coaching for over seven years. Let's
hope there is no seven year itch!
Meet Jenny
What drew you to CQ?
Passion and commitment to the children and their families. Also
the contribution to the wider community.
How do you motivate your staff to get
involved?
Besides chocolate and bribes? We discuss what is happening at CQ
in the office, and the events we can attend. We buy the Christmas
cards, make donations in lieu of Christmas presents to clients, and
attend fundraising functions, Melbourne Cup and the Cherry
Ball of course!
How does your partnership impact your
workplace?
Greater awareness of our community. Gratitude. We see the
quality of staff and the process Camp Quality goes through to
ensure they select the right mix of personalities.
What is the greatest treasure a child has given
you?
A child sees things so much more simply, and if a child trusts
you, the feeling it brings with it is something to
treasure. Oh, and honesty (sometimes a little too honest).
Why do you think laughter is the best
medicine?
Laughter is infectious. We feel so much better after laughing.
It's a safety-valve and relaxes tension and anxiety. Laughter;
- Is an aerobic workout (better than the gym)
- Boosts the immune system (cheaper than the doctor)
- Lessens pain (so we can eat more chocolate!)
What would you say to someone considering joining the
'CQ family'?
Absolutely, find out more about the organisation. Consider
volunteering in some capacity, this will give you a better
perspective of the scope and support that is provided by and
through Camp Quality. Check out what's on NOW!
