1. What drew you to Camp Quality, and what do you love
most about what you do?
Camp Quality inspires everyone who comes into contact with it.
The fantastic work it does, the beautiful kids and their families
it helps, its brilliant staff and work ethos. When I got the
opportunity to join the team, I leapt at it!
What do I love? Every success we have as a Business Team ensures
that another child or family living with cancer will experience the
joy and companionship of Camp Quality's services. There is no
better reward.
2. What have you learnt most about yourself from your
involvement with CQ?
That each and every one of us has so much to be grateful for. It
is better to focus on the good stuff in your day rather than any of
the bad.
3. What signature strengths do you bring to
CQ?
- Industry, diligence and perseverance
- Creativity, ingenuity and originality
- Bravery and valour
- Citizenship, Teamwork and Loyalty
- Zest, enthusiasm and energy
4. What's a CQ moment you treasure?
There are so many it is hard to pick! I am overwhelmed every day
by the generous spirit of our corporate, community and individuals
who do so much to support us and our kids and families.
5. What do you love to laugh about?
Bad 'dad jokes'. When I lose my balance in yoga. Funny friends.
When I realise how much chocolate I have just eaten. Kids and their
unique observations on life. Making someone else laugh. The list
goes on - it is great to laugh!
6. What are you optimistic about?
If we believe enough in something, we can achieve anything we
want.
In the yogic tradition, this is called a Sankalpa - a Sanskrit
word meaning a resolve or determination. It is an affirmation which
you make to overcome any weakness affecting your body, performance
and life, and to awaken any other strength you may feel is
necessary to provide you with internal balance.
If we believe enough, whatever you want to achieve will happen
at the right time in your life.
7. What would you say to someone considering joining the
'CQ family'?
Welcome. It would be fantastic to have you here!
