1. So James what drew you to Camp Quality, and what do
you love most about it?
I was approached to help out on the inaugural Supper Club
and asked to join NSW advisory board. After that I was hooked
and very honoured when asked to join the Camp Quality Board in
2006. I love the energy, passion, fun, optimism and
selflessness of everyone involved with CQ, and of course the
incredible work it does in supporting and bringing hope and fun
into the lives of children and families living with cancer.
2. What have you learnt most about yourself from your
involvement?
That true happiness and fulfilment comes from doing
things for other people, and that I really do not have anything to
complain about.
3. What signature strengths do you bring to
CQ?
Persistence, fairness, vitality, humour and integrity
4. What's a CQ moment you treasure?
Standing on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge with a group of
teenagers living with cancer during the 2006 'One Big Beach Camp'
given the incredible effort it had taken some of them to get up
there.
5. What do you love to laugh about?
Silly things, pomposity, political and management
cartoons, and myself!
6. What are you optimistic about?
That CQ will continue to find even more ways to support and bring
fun and hope into the lives of children living with cancer and
their and families.
7. What would you say to someone considering joining the
'CQ family'?
Just "Do it"!
