The 11th Arnott's Foundation Gala Ball - a ROARing success
If there is one event on the Camp Quality social calendar that never ceases to delight and amaze - it is the annual Arnott's Foundation Gala Ball.
2019, was no exception. The jungle fever could be felt throughout Darling Harbour as over 850 guests wearing their finest leopard and zebra print threads descended on Sydney's International Convention Centre. The theme was jungle, and the feeling was love - everyone gathered for a night of fun and entertaiment, but first and foremost to give back.
With Catriona Rowntree as MC, the crowd enjoyed special performances from ED5International, Mahalia Barnes and Furnace and the Fundamentals. They also heard first hand, the deep impact cancer has on a family. Ned, Scarlett & Loretta taking to the stage for the first time to publicly share their experience of cancer and the long term obstacles they have had to overcome from the perspective of a patient, sibling and parent.
Vera Entwistle, who founded Camp Quality in 1983 was in the audience to hear the direct impact her charity has had on this family and thousands of others.
Thanks to the love and support in the room, Arnott's have raised $468,000 to fund Family Camps in 2019.
We cannot put into words our gratitude to the Foundation and their commitment to supporting Camp Quality. Without them, we simply would not be able to do what we do.
