Puppets are back into hospitals with new Puppet Digital Playdates
The Camp Quality Puppets have been bringing much-needed joy and laughter to kids in hospital facing cancer for decades. Due to COVID, many puppet hospital visits have been cancelled, leaving kids without the laughter and joy they so desperately need to have a break from the stress and anxiety of cancer treatment.
That is why Camp Quality is so excited to announce the launch of Puppet Digital Playdates, so no child misses out.
Camp Quality Puppet Digital Playdates bring the fun and distraction of the Puppets online. Kids can connect live with one of our much-loved puppets via a 10 minute online ‘playdate’ using their personal device such as a smartphone or tablet.
Puppet Digital Playdates are tailored to the child’s age and interests. This program is available to Camp Quality kids who are undergoing treatment in hospital, or isolated at home due to health concerns that separate them from school, friends or community.
Following a successful trial at Monash Children’s Hospital, Camp Quality Puppet Digital Playdates are currently being rolled out nationally.
Dakoda age 3, enjoyed a Puppet Digital Playdate from Monah Children's Hospital. Dakoda's mum says,
"We both were very excited to be seeing the puppets, it really gave Dakoda something to look forward to. It was something different and bought a little spark to her. Thankyou".
Camp Quality Puppet Digital Playdates will become a permanent offering of Camp Quality, as they help reach more kids isolated by cancer treatment, COVID and in regional and remote areas. Puppet Digital Playdates can be requested here.
