Heartbreaking story inspires guests to dig deep at Arnott's Foundation Gala Ball
On Friday 21st February, guests experienced ‘The Greatest Night of your life’ at the 2020 Arnott’s Foundation Gala Ball.
The night started with spectacular entertainment by Hot Potato Band and ED5 Dance, who transformed the foyer of the International Convention Centre into a show of dancing and contagious energy.
Guests were treated to a sensational performance by Sally Cooper Violinist with the night hosted by Catriona Rowntree.
As always, it was a night of fun, entertainment and fine dining. And of course, a night to support Camp Quality. Guests heard Camp Quality Mum Charlene tell the heartbreaking story of her daughter Kalani. Tragically, Charlene was forced to say goodbye to her little girl when she was just two years old. She still holds the memories from the Camp Quality Family Camp they attended close to her heart as one of the few precious moments her family had together. After a touching video and speech, there was not a dry eye in the house.
Charlene’s truly inspiring story encouraged guests to dig deep in auctions and raffles, with proceeds going to kids facing cancer.
Last year, The Arnott’s Foundation Gala Ball raised almost half a million dollars to give kids facing cancer the chance to be kids again. The fundraising total for this year will be announced on Camp Quality and Arnott’s social pages next week. Stay tuned to find out how much the breathtaking event raised for families like Charlene!
