Camp Quality attended a cheque presentation at UPS Australia, where we were the very proud recipients of a $59,000 cheque! 

Camp Quality has just announced a renewal of its funding for the Beads of Courage Program at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. The ‘Beads of Courage’ are collected at each milestone during a child’s cancer treatment and over time form beautiful strings of symbolic beads, many metres long.

Not only have the videos been enjoyed far and wide, but over 50 books have been given away through the competitions running every fortnight and Camp Quality’s Christmas ‘Big Book Giveaway’.

To finish off the year, here is a quick roundup of some of the wonderful things that have happened at Camp Quality over the past 12 months.

For the first time ever, Camp Quality and Starlight Children's Foundation have collaborated on a video series to take kids facing cancer in hospital on imagination adventures. 

On the 8^th November, over 70 Camp Quality kids logged in for the first ever Virtual Camp. Camp Leaders and the Camp Quality Puppets took kids facing cancer on an interactive, live-streamed adventure!

Following a successful trial at Monash Children’s Hospital, new Camp Quality Puppet Digital Playdates are currently being rolled out nationally.

We know that cancer treatment can weaken the body’s immune system, which in turn increases the risk of any infection, including coronavirus. As much as we want our kids and families to have a break from cancer on one of our programs, it is more important that they stay safe.  

We all miss Camps and Fun Days but at Camp Quality, the safety of our kids, families, volunteers and staff is always our top priority.
