Liquor Industry Golf Club’s Charity Day makes Junior Camp possible
The spirit of generosity was thriving at Grange Golf Club in late February when the Liquor Industry Gold Club held its annual golf day.
Bank SA, hospitality businesses, providers and volunteers all contributed their time, funds and positivity to show support for children’s charities in South Australia.
The activity engaged a number of people both on and off the course with Chairman Rob Gillies noting that the kindness of everyone involved in organising and running the day is what made it such a tremendous success.
“The generosity of our players and guests at the lunch in the Bank SA marquee, along with support by the Grange Golf Club, ensures that even more money was raised at this year’s event,” Chairman Rob Gillies said.
After all the balls had been teed, Mr Gillies presented Camp Quality SA Fundraising Coordinator Kate Chapley with a cheque for $10,950. This impressive contribution will fund accommodation for a Junior Camp where children impacted by cancer can experience time away from their parents, filled with fun and optimism to help them build resilience, independence and valuable life skills.
We would like to extend our thanks to everyone involved in the event for helping us give kids facing cancer every opportunity to thrive. Bring on the next Charity Golf Day in 2020!
