Time to Bro Up
Volunteers are the heart of Camp Quality. Generous, passionate and fun loving. One of the programs where a lot of our volunteers get involved is camp. Every camper is matched with a volunteer of the same gender to mentor and support them have the best time ever. But there are more boy campers (over 50%) than male volunteers (less than 30%). So, this National Volunteer Week Camp Quality have a new campaign to get more male volunteers on board.
The 'Time to Bro Up' campaign is calling out for more volunteers to help us even the playing field and ensure boys don’t miss out on our camps. Our camps are a chance for kids impacted by cancer to learn life skills, strengthen wellbeing, gain independence and boost optimism
Camp companions, spare one weekend each year at most to volunteer on a camp that will change a boy’s life forever.
For more information on how you can get involved, and to express your interest in becoming a companion, head over to our 'Time to Bro Up' campaign page.
Ladies, while we know this campaign is to recruit men, you shouldn’t feel left out! If you have a male family member, partner, co-worker or friend you feel would be a great fit to volunteer with us, tell them it’s time to #BroUp by sharing this page with them, or tagging them in our Facebook post. You can also express your interest to volunteer with Camp Quality.
