Stan Perron's loving legacy

The great Stan Perron, a well-loved member of the Camp Quality family, passed away at 96 years old last week. Stan’s story is truly inspirational; from leaving school at 14, to owning Perth milk bars and taxis, and on to becoming one of the biggest philanthropists in WA. Camp Quality is so proud to be part of his legacy.

Stan’s considerable empire through iron ore, property and the distribution rights to Toyota, regularly benefitted Western Australians. Stan and his wife Jean were particularly generous in supporting charities working to improve the health of children.

Over Stan’s life, Camp Quality received around $400K to help deliver our programs and services to impacted children and their families across Western Australia and beyond. Countless families were given opportunities to thrive and have precious moments of Kid-ness thanks to Stan.

In many ways, we feel Stan’s determination and commitment to hard work and philanthropy, reflects the same extraordinary resilience so many of our brave children display every day. We know that he truly understood why his generosity was so needed and the difference it made to families facing cancer.

We express our deep condolences from the Camp Quality family to Jean, and the couple’s children and grandchildren.

Thank you Stan. You will be remembered for the big difference you made in so many lives.
