2016 Dick Gillard Illawarra Winner Announced
It's National Volunteer Week, and the winner of the prestigious Dick Gillard Illawarra Volunteer of the Year Award has been announced! This year's winner is the brilliant Lou Flower, and here's what the Camp Quality Illawarra office had to say about her:
"Is there anything Lou can’t do...?
We’re lucky to call her our 2016 Illawarra Dick Gillard Volunteer of the Year. Lou is involved in many aspects of Camp Quality. She spearheads a monthly dinner on the ward that helps families connect in a relaxed, informal setting so they are able to develop invaluable support networks through a challenging time.
Lou is also a spokesperson for her peers, being part of the National Volunteer Consultation Committee that aims to improve volunteering at Camp Quality. She is also an invaluable member of the Giggle Ball committee that raises funds each year for our families.
Plus she can get down on the dance floor! She showcased her amazing dance moves dressed as Camp Quality’s mascot, ‘Giggle’, with Justice Crew at the i98 Camp Quality Illawarra Convoy!"
