Jake inspiring others every step of the way
Camp Quality’s very own powerhouse, Jake Sullivan, recently participated in not one, but two community fundraising events, walking on behalf of Camp Quality in Queensland’s Bridge to Brisbane and NSW’s Blackmores Sydney Running Festival.
Jake was first introduced to the charity who brought him laughter and fun at the age of three when he was faced with his own cancer diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. At age nine, he relapsed and was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Now 24, Jake is fully recovered but not without suffering from long term health effects, including epilepsy, due to the treatments.
Currently working for Camp Quality in QLD as Partnerships Coordinator, Jake hopes to continually give back to the charity that helped him overcome adversity as a kid.
Jake HAS raised almost $8,000 in total at both events. An amazing accomplishment that will give other kids growing up with cancer the opportunities to thrive like he did.
We are so proud of Jake for challenging himself, having fun and motivating everyone around him to do the same.
Thank you to everyone who donated and participated. Your support means the world to us. We can’t wait for next year!
