2016 Dick Gillard WA Winner Announced

It's National Volunteer Week, and the winner of the prestigious Dick Gillard WA Volunteer of the Year Award has been announced! This year's winner is the effervescent Maureen Marriott, and here's what the Camp Quality WA office had to say about her:

"For over 20 years we have had the privilege of working alongside Maureen Marriot to help create a better life for children, and their families, living with cancer. In her 20th year we’re celebrating her in a big way; by awarding Maureen the 2016 Dick Gillard WA Volunteer of the Year Award!

In her 20 years with Camp Quality, Maureen has donated hundreds of hours being a Companion to countless children living with cancer. She has also participated in dozens of fundraising events, and has recently taken on a leadership capacity leading many recreation programs.

In 2015 Maureen rallied a group of twelve volunteers together to create an event known as Locks for Laughs. The volunteers shaved, coloured, or waxed their hair to raise over $13,000 for our families!

Thank you, Maureen, for making a positive difference in the lives of others!"
