The Big Walk for Little Kids has come to an end for its second year. Raising over $3.6 million it was a record-breaking fundraiser for Camp Quality. No one is more excited at this result than Troy and Grace.
Grace was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia last November at just 5 years old. The family has been involved with Camp Quality ever since and are so thankful for the support they received.
Troy wants every family facing cancer to be offered the same support they got from Camp Quality. Troy says,
“The Big Walk for Little Kids was an incredible experience, and I was able to clock up 230kms for Camp Quality. But the best part of it was seeing everyone come together in the Facebook group and all the people who joined Team Grace.
We are forever grateful for everything the Big Walkers have done to help raise much-needed funds and awareness of childhood cancer for Camp Quality. From people dyeing their hair, to walking in the rain, the long walks, the short walks, the walks with small children tagging along, we are amazed by the dedication and support we have seen.
Camp Quality has been by our side ever since Grace’s diagnosis and these funds will help so many more families dealing with the same thing, and bring some smiles to beautiful faces when they need it most.
We are entering the nine-month mark of our big journey since our world was turned upside down by Grace’s diagnosis. The ongoing appointments and procedures take their toll on Grace and our whole family, but we feel strengthened by all the support we have received from Big Walk participants.
We never thought Team Grace would raise over $80,000 and it’s all because of you. Thank you so much for all your love and support.”
