Like many charity and community groups, Camp Quality is fortunate to receive support from the Lions Clubs of Australia. In recent months, the Lions Club of Onkaparinga (SA) generously donated $2,000 in response to a call out for assistance to increase the reach and frequency of our Primary School Cancer Education Program.
Corry Moors, President of Lions Club of Onkaparinga says,
“The Lions Club of Onkaparinga is only too happy to support Camp Quality’s Education Program. My partner used to work for a carer support agency and has spoken highly of your respite caravan. Please let us know if you are in need of extra assistance with your caravan project.”
This is another tremendous example of the willingness to help noting our long-term relationship with West Beach Lions. President Zig Osis rallied several clubs in 2017 to 2019 raising funds to update our caravan, located (permanently) at West Beach Parks / Caravan Park free of charge.
The new van is used by Camp Quality families free of charge, allowing them to stop, reconnect and make happy memories at the toughest parts of the cancer experience, like palliative care and bereavement.
