Our children enjoyed the Bench Buddy Puppet Show presented by Camp Quality. Through engaging puppets, storytelling and laughter, children were gently introduced to the importance of being a “Bench Buddy” , someone who offers kindness, friendship and support to others who may be experiencing challenges, including illness such as cancer. Thank you to Camp Quality for delivering such a meaningful and age appropriate experience that sparked important conversations about compassion and caring for others.

The puppet show was a very heartfelt, educational experience and my family was invited to attend at the school. I was amazed how well Camp Quality’s puppet show was able to capture our experience through storytelling.

Through the engaging Buddy Bench show the children explored important messages about friendship, kindness, and looking out for one another. The performance also gently introduced big topics like cancer and chemotherapy in an age appropriate and reassuring way supporting children to build understanding, empathy, and confidence to support others who may be going through a tough time. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and thoughtful conversations with the children eagerly joining in and sharing their ideas.

Camp Quality’s Cancer Education Program was instrumental in creating an environment where my son felt supported by his friends and teachers, and where he did not have to carry the burden of fear and confusion alone. They helped explain that every cancer journey is unique and encouraged my son and his classmates to look at his sister's situation with optimism.

A huge thank you to Camp Quality for sharing such a meaningful and powerful message with our students.

St Aidens Primary School

We have some students with cancer, so it was great to see an age-appropriate show that helps young children understand what their friends are going through and to help them develop empathy, compassion and understanding. Education is the best way to encourage this! A wonderful show!

The amazing team from Camp Quality brought their fun-filled puppet show to our centre spreading laughter, joy, and powerful messages about friendship, resilience, and understanding. One of the most important lessons shared was that you can’t catch cancer helping our little ones understand and feel confident, curious, and kind when learning about others who may be going through tough times. Our children were captivated by the puppets and the heartfelt stories. Thank you Camp Quality for bringing so many smiles and for helping us nurture empathy and strength in our young minds

Parafield Gardens Children's Centre

South Australia

At the beginning of the Camp Quality puppet show, they asked the kids to put up their hand if they thought they could ‘catch’ cancer. My heart sank a little when more than half of them put up their hands. At the end of the show, they asked the same question and everyone yelled out no! This is why educating our kids is so important. Highly recommend getting your school involved in this conversation with the help of the puppets!
