Safeguarding Children
Child safety is of the highest priority at Camp Quality.

Camp Quality has been there for children facing cancer for over 40 years. In that time, we have run hundreds of successful camps and other activities, involving many thousands of children, staff, volunteers, schools and the broader community.
Child safety has always been paramount at Camp Quality. From corporate governance, right through to the day-to-day operations of its services and programs, and its fundraising activities, careful consideration of how we best protect, uplift and advance the children in our care is at the very core of everything we do.
Camp Quality is proud to have held Australian Childhood Foundation (ACF) Safeguarding Children Accreditation continuously since 2010.

We have introduced several initiatives to ensure we create, maintain and nurture an environment that protects children across all our services and programs. Our processes were rated best in class by the ACF in their 2015 Accreditation Report and their 2016 Annual Review.
We have many measures in place to protect children, as outlined in our three policies and our codes of conduct:
- Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy
- Responding to Suspected Child Abuse Policy
- Working with Children Check Police Check Policy
- Code of Conduct
- Family Code of Conduct

All Camp Quality staff and volunteers have undergone the appropriate screening, working with children checks and ongoing training to ensure the safety and wellbeing of kids in our care. Every member of the Camp Quality team is wholly committed to providing a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for all children attending our programs and events.

Child Safety Campaign
As part of our ongoing commitment to creating safe spaces for kids, Camp Quality has developed a campaign to empower children to advocate for themselves and report any instances of actual or perceived endangerment, confident that they will be heard and the matter taken seriously.
The cornerstone of the campaign is the following video which will be played to Camp Quality kids as part of their welcome to selected Camp Quality programs.
