Camp Quality held some incredible Family Camps this month, giving families impacted by cancer precious time to reconnect and make happy memories together. Family Camps provide a vital break from cancer and a chance to build a supportive community with other families who understand.
Families had plenty of activities to choose from at our Point Wollstonecraft Family Camp including bike riding, tennis, yoga, frisbee golf, laser clay shooting, photography workshops and watersports! With so many awesome activities, the hardest part was deciding which one to do first!
Many families made the most of the waterfront location, enjoying kayaking and fishing whilst relaxing, unwinding and connecting with one another.
15 Families attended the Bendigo Family Camp in August. Families toured the Bendigo Heritage Goldfield mines and the Vintage talking tram. Their time was jam-packed with activities including bowling, an adventure playcentre, dodgem cars, laser tag, golf, and ice skating. Big thanks to the Rotary Club who assisted with some of the meals. Families had the best time making happy memories to last a lifetime!
14 families from across Southeast Queensland were treated to an exciting Family Fun Fair, including circus games, flower crown making, pot painting, macrame, face painting and a Wildlife Animal show!
The Family Fun Fair led into a very successful Family Camp with minigolf and parent-only time at the observation deck at SkyPoint, the tallest building in Australia! The kids played tennis, enjoyed some giant games and craft. Families came together again for the exciting Camp-In themed event, with sparkly Teepees and a magician! Families left happy on Sunday and were able to spend a bit more time exploring the beautiful Gold Coast.
