Following the commissioning of an independent HR review, Camp Quality discovered errors were made to some employee pay rates prior to 2019.

Upon discovery, Camp Quality immediately initiated an independent, comprehensive review of our records and sought external advice to ensure we had a full understanding of the number of current and former employees impacted and the amount of compensation required.

Camp Quality has reached out to all impacted employees (25 current employees and 59 ex-employees).

  • All outstanding amounts to current employees were made in mid-Jan 2020.
  • Payment of outstanding amounts to ex-employees began on 13th February 2020 and are rolling out as paperwork is completed.

In August 2020, Camp Quality was provided with formal confirmation from the FWO that it was satisfied with the way the underpayment of employees and former employees was handled and remedied. Camp Quality has taken the opportunity to review its processes and procedures to ensure this does not happen again.

As an organisation we are sorry for any distress caused by this error. Any former employee wishing for further information can contact us at peopleandculture@campquality.org.au
