Family Retreats Expanded for those who need them most!
Camp Quality is excited to announce the expansion of our Family Retreats program, with six beautiful new locations now available for our Camp Quality families.
This is made possible by a generous partnership arrangement with NRMA Parks + Resorts.
Family Retreats across Australia give families in dire need of a break from cancer the chance to getaway and reconnect in holiday-style accommodation. This is often the first time a family can be together following diagnosis and treatment. It’s often the initial experience from Camp Quality, before attending camps or fun days. Eligibility is assessed on a case-by-case basis, based on the specific challenges a family is facing. These getaways are a chance to relax, reconnect and create lasting family memories.
Camp Quality will conduct a pilot program over the next 12 months to test the demand of the new Family Retreats and understand how we can better service families in need of a break.
The beautiful new cabins are located at:
- NRMA Phillip Island Beachfront Holiday Park – Victoria
- NRMA Merimbula Beach Holiday Resort – New South Wales
- NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort – Queensland
- NRMA Airlie Beach Holiday Park – Queensland
- NRMA Victor Harbor Holiday Park – South Australia
- NRMA Port Arthur Holiday Park – Tasmania
We have also secured additional Family Retreats in Western Australia and the Northern Territory separate to this partnership and our existing Family Retreats are still on offer.
Our Family Retreat at Salamander Bay, NSW is reserved for families facing a palliative diagnosis or in the tragic case of bereavement. This retreat is a beautiful house on the water, where palliative families can spend quality time together making precious memories and bereaved families can reconnect and remember the loved one who has passed.
We understand many of our families desperately need this time away, and we are currently experiencing high demand, showing just how needed and important these Family Retreats are. We ask for patience from our families as we trial this exciting expansion.
