Puppets for Preschoolers
You may have heard that Camp Quality does puppet shows at primary schools around Australia, but did you know they also visit preschools?
Last week, puppeteers Stan and Shanaye entertained the students of Condell Park Montessori Academy Preschool with puppets Kylie, Dean and Mel. Many laughs were had, and important messages learned, including “Che-mo-therapy” is a special medicine to help our friends get better, and to never make fun of someone who looks different.
The Camp Quality Puppets visit schools around Australia and perform fun, empowering, interactive shows that dispel cancer myths and create an inclusive community for children who have been diagnosed with cancer or have a diagnosed parent or sibling.
Learning “YOU CAN’T CATCH CANCER” is an important lesson at any age, and our shows help reduce the likelihood of bullying, exclusion and anxiety. This key lesson is learned in all the shows, but this doesn’t mean all the shows are all the same. The shows are brought right back to simple and fun basics for preschoolers and delivers impactful, memorable and more complex messages in the oldest show, tailor-made for 10-13-year-olds.
If you know a primary school that could benefit from Camp Quality's primary education program, you can request a show or donate if you would like to help Camp Quality continue to make these programs possible.
